Getting the most out of your iDevices, Mac OS X and social media

Do you want to learn more about using your iPad, iPhone or Mac? Do you know how to use the basic built-in functions? How about finding apps to make your life easier? In running QD Information I’ve spent years using and learning about these devices and have acquired knowledge I’d like to share with you. I’ve learned many tricks and tips to make it easier and quicker to get stuff done, leaving you more time to spend on the important things in your life.

Social media and social networks have grown exponentially in the last few years. They offer businesses, especially small to medium-sized business, unique opportunities to reach out to existing and new customers in novel and exciting ways. Any business not taking advantage of these new marketing channels will be left out. I can provide the training to set up and maintain a socail media presence to help businesses make the most of social media. In addition, I can provide guidance on an ongoing basis to ensure you are making the most of your social media presence.

The iPad and iPhone are simple to use but complex to master. They don’t come with a manual and for the most part, you don’t need one. However there are lots of tips and tricks which aren’t intuitive and that you might not learn on your own. Did you know that if you are part way down a web page, you can click twice in the black bar at the top of your iPad in Safari to go to the top of the page?

As a long time Mac user I’ve had the opportunity to use and learn the ends and outs of the operating system as well as many of the common and not so common software applications. Whether you’re new to the Mac and need basic training or you’ve been a user for a while and just want to get more out of your Mac, QD Info has the right classes for you. If you need help installing the latest system, want to learn about certain applications, or need help with troubleshooting a problem, QD Info can help.

Web services are activities you can do online such as convert a text document to pdf or edit a photo or keep track of which of your friends last picked up the bar tap. There are thousands of web services available on the Internet of all manner of stripes and colors. Which ones work well and which fit your needs? I try out many web services so you don’t have to.
