iOS Courses

Your iPhone or iPad running iOS is a great productivity tool but have you ever wanted to get more out of your iDevice? Have you wondered how to perform some basic function that you know is there but that you can’t find? If so, then the courses I offer on iOS are just what you need. Any of these can be taken at any time. No course is a prerequisite to another. Below are descriptions of each of the courses.

This short intro to iOS course offers a brief introduction to the basics of using your iPad or iPhone. This includes setting up your device, adjusting the settings to your own personal preferences and using some of the included applications such as

By the end of the course you will be able to…

Use the various buttons and settings on your iDevice
Understand the basic interface elements and what they mean and what actions they perform
Identify and adjust the various settings on your iDevice
Make use of the included apps
Know general tips and hint to be more productive including keyboard shortcuts and
Make use of multi-finger gestures

In this half day course you will learn about iOS in more depth and develop a better understanding of what it can do for you. You will be introduced to some of the more advanced features as well as learn to find and use some of the more popular apps available for iOS.

Perform all the objectives from the Intro course listed above
Understand more of the various iOS features
Find, download, and use 3rd party apps
Organize your home screens with folders

In this full day course you will learn everything in the iOS Basics course and more. This courses covers the advanced use of standard apps and essential third party apps as well as cloud services.

By the end of this course you will be able to…

Use iCloud, Dropbox and other cloud services
Third party apps for keeping up to date including Zite and Flipboard
Use Pages, Numbers and Keynote
Use iMovie and Garageband on your iDevice
Use and understand some of the essential apps for personal and/or business use
Troubleshoot and solve basic problems

iOS Mastery is an intense four day course covering everything you need to know about being productive and having with your iOS device. This includes recommend apps and how to use them as well as

By the end of this course you will be able to…

Understand and use web services such as Evernote, Remember Milk, and Pocket
Read books from Apple, Barnes and Noble, Google or Amazon on your iDevice
Use augmented reality apps on your iOS device
Understand in depth and use social media apps such as Facebook, LinkedIn, FourSquare and Twitter
Use entertainment on your iDevice such as Netflix, TV shows, and cable shows as well as view shows from your DVR on your iOS device at home as well as when traveling
